Terms of Service

Last updated: July 13, 2026

These terms govern your use of the Ghostwall Android application (“the app”). By installing or using Ghostwall, you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app.

License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Ghostwall on devices you own or control, for your own personal use. This license doesn’t give you any ownership of the app itself.

Free and Pro features

Ghostwall’s core features — DNS Shield, basic firewall, kill switch, and the app scanner — are free with no trial period or expiry. Additional features (“Ghostwall Pro”) are available as a purchase through Google Play Billing, offered as either a one-time purchase or an auto-renewing subscription depending on the option you choose at checkout. Billing, renewals, cancellations, and refunds for these purchases are handled by Google Play under Google Play’s refund policies — we don’t process payments ourselves and can’t issue refunds directly.

Acceptable use

Ghostwall is a privacy and security tool. You agree not to use it to:

  • Violate any applicable law, or the terms of service of any third-party network, service, or app you access through it.
  • Attempt to disrupt, degrade, or gain unauthorized access to any network, including the Tor network or any DNS provider’s infrastructure.
  • Misrepresent your identity or location to defraud another person or organization.

Ghostwall provides anonymity and location-spoofing tools for legitimate privacy purposes — protecting yourself from tracking, surveillance, and profiling. It is not a shield for illegal activity, and we reserve the right to investigate and take action, including termination of your ability to use paid features, if we become aware of misuse.

No guarantee of complete anonymity

Tor, DNS-over-HTTPS, and VPN-based firewalling meaningfully improve your privacy, but no tool can guarantee perfect or undetectable anonymity. The Tor network is operated by independent, volunteer-run relays outside our control, and exit-node operators can, in principle, observe unencrypted traffic leaving the network — always prefer HTTPS destinations. Ghostwall is provided to reduce your exposure to tracking and surveillance, not as an absolute guarantee against it.

Disclaimer of warranties

Ghostwall is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don’t warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will detect or block every tracker, ad, or malicious domain.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app — including damages from network outages, blocked legitimate traffic, third-party DNS provider or Tor relay behavior, or loss of data.

Third-party services

Ghostwall integrates with third-party infrastructure — the Tor network, DNS-over-HTTPS providers you select, and Google Play Billing — each governed by its own terms and privacy policy. We aren’t responsible for the availability, content, or practices of these third parties.

Termination

You may stop using Ghostwall at any time by uninstalling it. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the app at any time. If we discontinue a paid feature you’ve purchased, we’ll handle refunds in accordance with Google Play’s policies where applicable.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [your jurisdiction], without regard to conflict-of-law principles
